Marine Industry Update III

I hope you, your family and friends continue to be healthy and safe. Its been a few weeks since my last email update, here are some of the most important updates in the Marine Industry right now:

  • Most of the public and private marinas in Dade County, Broward, and Palm Beach are now open, including fuel stations. Boating remains a safe activity as long as you limit your exposure to others, and while many businesses are closed, being on the water provides the perfect escape for families.

  • We have seen a dramatic increase in activity both for sellers and buyers. Many of our clients are taking advantage of some price reductions deals, both in the brokerage market and New Build. Sunseeker and other shipyards are offering very attractive discounts to keep the production lines busy. If you are in the market to buy a yacht, this is your time! Remember that finance rates are dropping and fuel prices are also decreasing.

  • Remember, if you live out of town and need someone local to check on your yacht or crew feel free to reach out to me.

  • The Bahamas remains closed for visitors until further notice. ( I know, I'm counting the seconds too...)

I continue to work from home weekdays and weekends, with sporadic visits to the local marinas for showings and seatrials. You can reach me anytime via email, call, text or WhatsApp. Stay safe!
